Independence Day & The Bistro

We at The Olives Bistro have decided to close early on Thursday afternoon, July 4th in observance of Independence Day – and go home to BBQ & enjoy the fireworks!


Which means you can still come and see us for lunch!

This week at the Bistro we’re taking it easy…

We will be having lots of options for dinner – who knows what Nick will decide?

I hear rumors of a Bird Of Paradise Salad (1/2 pineapple stuffed with Chicken salad and garnished to look like a bird) As beautiful as it is delicious!

We do know for certain that he will be making Prime Rib ($19.00) and Salmon ($16.00) on Friday and Saturday.

Bistro Blurbs

• George is taking some much-deserved vacation time, now that San Ignacio has closed. We will let you know where to find him when he lands, and in the meantime say hello when you see him hanging out with his Uncle at the Bistro:)

To all those others who were caught in the unexpected events at San Ignacio, we wish you speedy jobs.

• Thank God for the Monsoon Rains! Remember that it’s the hot mornings that bring the afternoon rains, and then provide beautiful-and cooler- sunsets. Follow the rules and stay safe from weather-related dangers.

• We saw Patrick the other night, and are happy to know he is safe and sound. Firefighting is a dangerous and valiant profession. Our prayers go out to all the firefighters who lost their lives this week, and their families. We are ever
